Morris Hospital & Healthcare Centers’ is seeking a board eligible/board certified OB/GYN physician, who desires to become part of a well-established, collegiate group of OB/GYN specialists as they seek to replace one of their partners who is moving downstate. Enjoy your personal time, along with an already established practice. The new physician would step into a full practice from day one that sees 32-35 new patients monthly. Full-Time position includes a minimum of 30 patient contact hours in the office, with 1 weekday evening and dedicated surgery day. Outpatient offices are located in Morris (within main hospital’s parking lot) and Channahon at our Ridge Road Campus, which offers ancillary, primary, specialty care and advanced Cardiovascular and Imaging services.
Work with an outstanding employed group with a phenomenal reputation throughout and beyond the service area; Dr. Erik Muraskas, Dr. Douglas Toussaint, Dr. Andrea Chen, Dr. Victoria Ochoa and Dr. Leticia Setrini-Best who currently serves as Medical Staff President.
Enjoy 1:5 Call at one hospital with monthly call stipend. Level II Perinatal Center Family Birthing Suite Unit includes dedicated OR, 8 LDRP rooms and 4 NST/Triage rooms. Average of 40-45 deliveries per month between OB/GYNs; 500 births per year. OBGYN physicians are required to live in Morris, approximately 10min from the hospital per call requirements.
We have a tertiary affiliation with Loyola University Medical Center for mothers and babies who require an even higher level of care as we are a Level II Perinatal Care Provider. Candidate must be comfortable with high-risk obstetrics. Our obstetrical nurses are highly trained and care for moms and babies throughout labor and after delivery. Several classes are available for our expectant families.

We are currently in Phase 2 of 4, making changes to our pre/post-CATH lab area and moving outpatient cardiac diagnostics closer to the CATH Lab. We also renovated our infusion therapy department along with renovating imaging (new women’s center!) and outpatient lab services. We will be modernizing our surgical waiting room and updating our patient registration process. All Master Facility Plan updates are estimated to be completed in 2022.
