Seeking Pulmonologist Physician for Excellent VA Staff Opportunity at the Harry S. Truman VAMC, Columbia, MO Position Information The Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital, Columbia, MO is actively recruiting to fill Staff Pulmonology Medicine Specialist that’s Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care Medicine (desired) to provide comprehensive outpatient & inpatient Pulmonary services including diagnosing and treating all types of diseases and conditions that affect the lungs and breathing, including very rare conditions; care of seriously ill//life-threatening/serious medical conditions/health issue in the ICU. Provider will participate in electronic consultations (e-consult) to improve access to pulmonary care. Will work collaboratively with other specialists as necessary in providing the best care of Veterans. The Pulmonary Critical Care Section serves patients across the spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care for more than 40,000 veterans in an area to include 43 counties in Missouri as well as Pike County, Illinois. Selected candidate will be considered for a faculty appointment with the University of Missouri’s School of Medicine & be involved with supervision and teaching of medical residents, medical students, pulmonary/critical care fellows & other providers. Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, (May be required to work evenings or weekends as a 24/7 Full-Time Physician).
