Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a BE/BC diagnostic radiologist/nuclear medicine physician to join a well-established team to provide further expansion and depth in imaging services. The ideal candidate for this position would have additional training and expertise in nuclear medicine. A mix of outpatient and inpatient services would constitute the normal daily workflow. Candidates with experience and knowledge providing nuclear medicine therapy and nuclear cardiology services would be given preferential consideration for employment. A comfort level in providing diagnostic general radiology coverage would be a plus and could potentially be tailored towards the candidate’s specific training and previous job experiences.
The radiology department in Temple, TX is the flagship teaching hospital of the Baylor Scott and White Health System in Central Texas. You would be joining a team composed of a full complement of sub-specialists, including nuclear medicine, who provide cutting edge radiological service. Nuclear medicine equipment has recently been updated with brand new state-of-the-art PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners. A full complement of dedicated nuclear medicine technologist are employed by the organization. Our hospital in Temple, TX is a level 1 trauma center and is one of the largest multispecialty tertiary referral centers in the United States.

Position duties and responsibilities
Fellowship, residency or additional training and certification in nuclear medicine.
Although not an absolute requirement for employment, additional skills in general radiology would be ideal. Diagnostic radiology coverage could potentially be tailored to the candidates skill sets (ie. cardiac imaging, abdominal imaging etc.).
No additional expertise required in interventional radiology, neuroradiology or breast imaging
Desired professional skills and experience
Board certification or board eligible in diagnostic radiology or nuclear medicine with special competence in nuclear radiology by the American Board of Radiology and/or the American Board of Nuclear Medicine
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
