Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a Hepatologist to join the Liver Center at the Digestive Health Institute, Orlando.
We are looking for a qualified hepatologist to manage disorders in the liver, and the biliary tree. The candidate should have had a minimum of 12-month training in Hepatology. The responsibilities of a hepatologist include consulting on patients with liver diseases in an outpatient and inpatient setting. In addition, the successful hepatologist, should exhibit compassion for patients and provide exceptional patient care. Finally, qualifications include possessing a vast knowledge of in the field of hepatology, strong teamwork skills, and solid verbal and written communication skills.
As one of the nation?s most highly regarded digestive disease programs, the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute offers comprehensive and coordinated care to evaluate, diagnose and treat a wide range of digestive diseases. Subspecialty services offered include advanced endoscopy, medical pancreatology, hepatology, neurogastroenterology and motility and inflammatory bowel diseases. The institute?s team of globally respected physicians are leaders in clinical research and postgraduate medical education. The institute boasts a very vibrant clinical research program that conducts cutting-edge trials in endoscopic tumor resection, pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, IBD and hemostasis. The institute has recently secured ACGME approval for starting a gastroenterology fellowship and hosts several international symposiums throughout the year. The position is most ideal for candidates wanting to practice clinical gastroenterology or Hepatology in a hybrid setting where you get to be in an academic atmosphere but with the efficiency and benefits of private practice.
The Liver Center at the Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute cares for patients with a wide variety of liver diseases such as alcohol associated liver disease, metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease, chronic viral hepatitis, autoimmune liver disease, cirrhosis and its complications including hepatocellular carcinoma, vascular disorders of the liver, genetic disorders of the liver including hemochromatosis, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, and Wilson disease. Clinical research and clinical trials are an integral part of the Liver Center and the Hepatologist will have the opportunity to conduct clinical research studies.
Role Requirements:
Fellowship trained in Hepatology.
FL Medical License or ability to obtain FL Medical License.
